These great zen illustrations from Zen Pencils bring to life the words of Seneca, Rumi and the Dalai Lama to translate three timeless life lessons we so easily forget.

2. Being Human is a Guest House.

3. We’re all Human Beings.

Zen Pencils is a website where inspirational quotes from famous people are adapted into cartoons. The cartoonist behind the drawings is Gavin Aung Than who is based in Melbourne, Australia. After working in the corporate graphic design industry for 8 years he quit his unfulfilling job at the end of 2011 to focus on his true passion, drawing cartoons. Gavin launched Zen Pencils at the start of 2012, a cartoon blog which adapts inspirational quotes into comic stories, and hasn’t looked back since.

It is well worth checking out there website or supporting them through purchasing their books: Zen Pencils: Cartoon Quotes from Inspiration Folks & Zen Pencils – Volume Two: Dream The Impossible Dream
